I too, am an artist but I'm very much of the representational school, unable to just let my mind take me to where it wants to go to produce abstract work. I am tempted, though, to try it sometime soon. I enjoyed your post.

Hi Patricia I was representational until a couple of years a go and never would have anticipated trying abstract let alone loving it. Taking a free course got me started. There was a desire there to do something different. I say give it a go, you never know, it might be perfect for you too.

Thank you I am glad you enjoyed it.

Hi Kay, it was a wonderful course and I love Judy Woods who taught it. I've written a little bit about it in this post https://www.anartistinherflow.co.uk/p/and-another-and-another but I think I will write a full post dedicated to it soon, thank you.

I agree, Patricia - it can be hard to do!

There is a different quality to my writing when I don’t force the words into place, a kind of hum as though the words actually flow from somewhere else.

That's beautiful! And I know what you mean but from a painting perspective. One day I hope for that to happen with my writing too.

Thank you Priya x

I try to bring this wisdom of listening and flowing into my therapeutic practice as a clinician. Such a beautiful reminder!

Beth Kempton's book are so full of wisdom. I treasure them. The state of flow is the best feeling isn't it. Everything in alignment and an inner peace.
